Today I ran in the happiest 5K on the planet, the COLOR RUN!  It was a bit chilly, but we kept warm by moving!  It was so fun to do this event with some of my favorite girls.  So far, this is my favorite event I have done.  Check out the website to find out more http://thecolorrun.com/

What a group!
Thanks for the memories ladies!  You are and always will be the hottest homemakers I know!

One of us

We have been so blessed to have such a little bundle of blessing in our house for the past 12 weeks.  She has stolen the hearts of all of us.  She has grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and church family that adore her and love her so much.  I don't know that I have ever come across a sweeter little baby than this.  No matter what the outcome is at the end of this long journey, she will always be one of us. We are blessed to be her foster family.

So many times I get the question, "will you get to keep her?"  The answer to that question is unknown and could be for a long time.  For know she is safe with us and it doesn't look like she will be leaving us anytime soon.  Your prayers and support and appreciated!

Caleb's 4K graduation

When Caleb started preschool this year he was so shy and such a mamma's boy.  Over the school year we watched him as he came out of his shell and gained a lot of confidence.  Although he is one of the youngest in his class, he sure doesn't lag far behind!  Every day he amazes me with his patience as he learns so many new things.  His small and large motor skills are awesome.  He is going to have a blast in Kindergarten!

At his preschool end of the year celebration we got a taste of what his day was like.  The kids performed many nursery rhymes, songs and dances.  It was priceless!

Caleb was one of the king's men in "Humpty Dumpty"

So proud of my sweet middle man!

Spring fun

This spring was the complete opposite from last.  When the weather was nice we got outside and took advantage.  One of our favorite things to do is go to the park.

Looking forward to visiting so many fun parks this summer with my monkey men!

Grand Prix Winner!

Casey participated in his second Grand Prix race through our Awana program at church.  Matt and Casey got some pointers from a friend on how to make this year's car super speedy.  Casey picked the colors and helped with the design.  Here is the finished product!

After each child's car raced 4 times on a 4-lane track against different cars they had a race off between the top 4 cars.  Casey's car was one of the 4.  It was so fun to watch these cars go head to head 8 different times.  It was amazing how close each race was.
When all the heats were finished this is how Casey finished!  Notice how close this race was.  There was less than a second between the 1st and 4th place winner!

Here is Casey with his trophy!

Here he is with some of his best buds.

What a fun program for the kids to participate in.  Casey was so excited to get a trophy and take part in such a fun event.  Thanks to all the adults who work hard to put this on for the kids.

Easter

We started off the Easter weekend with an Easter Egg hunt and candy drop at our church.  The preschool aged kids learn the story of Easter using jelly beans while the Elementary age kids learn through the Resurrection eggs.  After hearing the true meaning of Easter, the kids head outside where they get to watch a helicopter drop candy.  Once it is safe they get the go ahead to fill their bags with candy.  This is our 3rd or 4th year attending this fun event.  This year it was even more fun because the boys had their cousins join them
Caleb and Joshua are taking it all in.
.

Hannah and Casey are ready to get the party started.

Lucy was on an important call...

Let's not forget my favorite twins, Riley and Hailey were ready for some fun too!

It is really fun, even for us adults, to watch a helicopter drop buckets of candy from the sky!

Here is Casey and his buddy Eli waiting for the go ahead to fill up their bags.
On Easter Sunday we attended church and then headed over the the Reed's house for some Easter fun. We had an awesome meal, ate lots of junk food, and went on an Easter egg hunt.
This is one of those times where it is killing me not to show her cute little face, but the ruffle butt will have to do!

My cute little men
Kid's table!

Riley found all her purple eggs
Joshua found his green eggs, after having to put back many of the other kid's eggs.  He didn't quite get the  rules.

Caleb was the last to find all his eggs, but he was a good sport.

Here they all are...crazy cousins.

They got to trade in the numbers inside their eggs for some prizes!

Can't pass up an opportunity to take a picture of these cute girls!

Joshua playing on the floor with my cousin Brandon.  Not really feeling like sharing with the poor kid.

You gotta love Brandon's hair!
Overall it was an awesome weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with friends and family.  We are so blessed to have all of you!
