Our condo resort had a really nice playground that Casey enjoyed playing at. Swinging has become a favorite of his lately.
He also had his first kiss on the trip! Well, maybe not his first kiss and probably not one of his highlights, but definitely one of mine!
We were a hop skip and a jump away from the lake front in Egg Harbor. Unfortunately for us the bugs had just made their presence known in Door County and so we didn't hang out by the water too much. Casey really enjoyed skipping rocks with daddy.
As you can see from the picture below, Casey LOVED swimming with daddy. Casey wanted nothing to do with me in the pool, just daddy. As weird as it sounds Casey had his most injuries in the pool area. He refused to walk (because he always does) and took a few diggers by the side of the pool. He also jumped in by himself and had a bit of surprise when there was nobody there to catch him right away! I wish I would have gotten a picture of his face when we pulled him up! He didn't seem phased but didn't really ask to jump in again either.

On Thursday the weather was beautiful so we went to Peninsula State Park for a hike and a picnic. We did a 3 mile hike and no Casey did not stay in his pack the entire trip! He really wanted to find monkeys in the forest but we told him that was a stretch. We did hear a lot of birds and saw a couple of animals, nothing too exciting. At one point we heard a woodpecker and Casey thought that someone had tooted! He now mixes the two up. When someone toots he says he hears a woodpecker!

Here we are taking a break. Poor Matt...between carrying our heavy child and stopping for all of my breaks it made for a longer hike than we planned! I have another funny story about our hike. Because I am pregnant and tinkerbell continued to press on my bladder I had to cop a squat a few times. Casey thought it was great that mommy was going potty on the ground. He wanted to try too. So he sat on the ground, pulled up his shirt and smiled. Who knows, maybe he really did go!

Before heading home we decided to check out White Dune State Park on the other side of the peninsula near Jacksonport. They had a beautiful beach with a lot of cool seashells. We took another 3 mile hike that was pretty neat. We saw a lot of dunes, which looked like hills to us, but it was cool.
